We bounced back nicely yesterday after Saturday’s absolute disaster. We went 3 for 3 on the plays of the day, hit the Daily Double and the 3-Way. We came into the day 22.3 units up since the All Star Break and added 47.8 above the spend which leaves us setting nicely at 70.1 units ahead in the unofficial second half of the season. Today I’m playing 10 units on each of the POTDs, 10 on the Daily Double, 3 on the 3-Way, 2 on the Longshot, and I’m going to be a little more risky than usual with a little of what we made yesterday and play 5 units on the Moonshot. it comes in at +3508, so if we get lucky we’ll have a nice little pile of units to work with moving forward.

Baseball should return to a closer to normal rhythm this week, even if production numbers at the plate are a little off the craziness we were seeing in the first half. As always we don’t need it to be perfect, we just need it to be predictable.

Shea is one of the A’s most consistent hitters, and is generally good for an extra base hit. He’s never faced Bratt, but its a direct righty/lefty matchup against a pitcher that induces a lot of fly balls rather than having swing and miss stuff. Look for Langaliers to drop a well-placed double into right field.

Brewers are once again facing a Mets lineup that is struggling to say the least. Save a couple building pieces that they’ll hold onto, pretty much the entire team is up for trade. Morale is low and I look for the losing to continue.

The Braves don’t need much explanation. Potent lineup, and facing a very hittable lefty in JP Sears. Rays are the underdog in their matchup against Dylan Cease, but the Toronto bullpen is vulnerable. Look for the Rays to keep it close and take over in the later innings.

Nationals/Rockies should be one of the more fun games to watch tonight. Nationals suffer from bad pitching but absolutely smash the ball on offense. Add Coors Field and two high-ERA pitchers into the mix and I wouldn’t be surprised to see 15 or more runs scored in this one. Padres/Braves won’t be as explosive, but they should cover 7.5 pretty easily.
